In this week’s snippet from THE WITCH’S EYE, Danica and Ronan have a rare heart-to-heart, and she beholds a rarely glimpsed human side to the hardened assassin.
Danica swore she saw tears in his eyes.
“It’s nice to know where you belong,” he said. “Not many people ever figure that out. When you do…you fight to hang onto it.” He looked at her. “You know what I mean?”

Thank you, J.M. Ronan’s return to humanity, and how that reflects Danica’s own mental return from the turmoil she’s endured, is one of the central themes of the novel.
